1 village – 150 artists – 30 nationalities

This summer, under the cool breeze of the village of Djerba in Tunisia, 150 artists from 30 different nationalities came together, by invitation from Itinerrance gallery, to bring a new life to this small town. Itinerrance gallery, founded in 2004 by Mehdi Ben Cheikh, has a goal to promote the recognition of street art as a fully-fledged art form.

Street artists, calligraffiti artists, graffiti artists and more were all brought together by the gallery. They painted on walls, doors, and anything they could find. Their art shed a new light on this small town, transforming it into an open-air art museum and highlighting the culture and heritage of the village by contrasting it with the bright contemporary artworks.
